Memorandum of understanding between Japan and Peru regarding the extractive technologies of zinc mines

 

According to the public relations report of Iran's Association of Lead and Zink Industries and Mines and quoted
 by Maadan24,the leaders of Japan and Peru will sign a joint statement for cooperation in mining technology 
later this month. 
The agreement aims to strengthen supply chains of critical minerals through Japanese technology.
Japan is actively strengthening global supply chains for critical minerals; Materials essential for electric 
vehicle batteries, renewable energy and other technologies supporting a carbon-free society.
The two governments plan to create sustainable supply chains in Peru for critical minerals such as zinc and copper,
 using technology provided by Japanese companies.
In addition, Japan and Peru plan to develop a 10-year road map that includes specific actions in five different
 areas, including economic cooperation to secure mineral and energy resources, human resources exchange,
and security.
